New Summer Coordinator

Hi Everyone,

My name is Anna Levin, and I am writing to introduce myself as this year’s Fruit Share Summer Coordinator.  Today is my first day in the position, and I am looking forward to a busy and fruit-filled summer and fall! I am passionate about food security issues, the promotion of local food consumption, and sharing knowledge to better use what we have, and I am excited to put these values into action in my work with Fruit Share.

Me in a very un-prairie locale!

For the rest of the summer and into the fall, I will be the main point of contact for any questions, concerns or comments about Fruit Share.  Please feel free to contact me by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at 204-272-8520. I am hoping to have the chance to get to know as many of our fantastic volunteers and fruit owners as possible over the course of the season, so please keep the communications coming!

Sincerely,

Anna

We have a crab apple tree that has a lot of fruit on it this year. It should be ready to pick in 2 weeks. Last year fruitshare came to pick the apples. Are you interested? We could leave a ladder.

Do you pick crabapples? We have a very mature one that is loaded this year.

We do pick crab apples. We have over 100 trees registered this year so not sure how many our volunteers will be able to pick. You can register with us under the fruit owner tab and then fill out the harvest request form. We’ll let our volunteers know about your tree and the rest is up to them.
